Re: Changing sets on FR-1xb

Besides sounding great, it looks like you are going to blow a few minds in the process! :)

Good luck, I hope the practicing and entire process go fast and easy for you... and don't forget to post a few videos of you and your new baby in action!

Re: Changing sets on FR-1xb

It seems that the accordion is indeed popular, but in small pockets of areas around the world. As far as seeing it more, it's kind of like cars... you never saw so many of the same model car until after you bought one, then you seem to see them everywhere. :)

Fun Dune reference up there! :D

Re: Prices for New Roland Digitals?

You know Stephen, I love my acoustic, but there are a few advantages to a digital accordion (but other disadvantages too of course) that make it quite desireable: - they never go out of tune - generally lighter than a full sized accoustic - you can play using headphones - the musical possibilities a...

Re: Prices for New Roland Digitals?

I'd not be so quick to fixate on a brand new 8x... there are quite a few deals out there (at least there were when I was looking a few months ago). I found my near new 8X (perhaps 10-20 hours of use maximum... the bellows were as stiff as new!) for $3500Cdn, that's like $2615 US. That's including th...

Re: Roland FR-3s and uneven bellow operation

Absolutely fantastic what can be learned from just reading an owners manual. Most customers get one, very few read them. Actually, I had read through the owners manual of the 8X through about 5 times before I even owned my 8X... to tell you the truth, I learned more in 30 minutes with the acco...

Re: ketron sd40 sound module

The Ketron X4 and SD40 have the same basic sound engine, and I feel that even today, it's excellent. I also own a Roland BK-7m, the most advanced arranger on the market today, and in certain sounds, the Ketron excels even better than the BK. The SD40 is the later version, and likely has some nice im...
