Glenn and Jeff are on the dot....you don't need to much combining to achieve a sweet sound....the half diminished to dom 7th 'flip' is probably the only true essential, the 6 and 9 s are nice... My greatest influence Harry Hussey tells me he knows no chord combinations (but his bass runs are hot) ye...

Just to clarify...if a man should give up his kudos in society and choose to study/play an instrument for a living perhaps don't look down on them....they have no pension, no holiday pay, no security...but have instead taken the time to hone a skill to professional level in a trade that rarely sees ...

Whilst in Avignon thirty years ago I sat and ate in the main square....it was often frequented by accordionists 'playing the tables'...some real showmen who would dance the length of the plaza before going round with the hat.....the lunchtime was more often played by local gypsy combos Funnily enoug...

No Pipermajor...Harry hasn't moved over to the dark side...he's still playing his Borsini as beautifully as ever...superb arranger and so kind to share his knowledge
Gary Blair is 'professional'...world class player playing to worldwide festivals...don't think he's conservatory schooled though

I know Gary Blair gives skype lessons...phenomenal player and great teacher... I'd asked him to take me onboard a while back but he wasn't interested as I play buttons....we were at a festival at the time and he suggested I stuck with Harry Hussey as my guide...who sadly doesn't do skype so I see hi...
