Re: Bass Registers on a Roland V-Accordion

Jerry is right. You cannot program the individual chord voicing from the ones provided by Roland. The voicing change if you set up your bass to be 3x3 instead of the more common 2x4 but other than that no. I have never really considered the default register set as unusual as I never thought there wa...

Re: Can you get lessons in music tech or not really?

Great reply Jerry.
Huge addition to the forum. thanks.
Oh by the way, is the bk7m set up to "understand" the bellows expression?
In other words are the patches set to interpret the bellows expression in a useful way?

Re: Into Every Life, A little Rain Must Fall.

Hi Jerry. Was your determination so "grim"? :) I saw it more as a determination to learn a new "technique". It's quite exciting discovering new things and making connections between sounds and actions. Even the new mechanical skill of a different bellows action was good for my ac...

Re: Can you get lessons in music tech or not really?

Hi Matt, what aspect particularly is your friend struggling with in term of MIDI?
Is it specific to her expander or is she trying to get things to "talk" to each other without success?

Re: Where to buy parts (internationally)

Warning: off topic: I wonder why these "little" suppliers never have a web presence? I'm sure they'd do a far better trade with the extra help the internet can provide. I know that being digitally illiterate can give a certain air of authenticity in artistic circles but I do worry how many...

Re: Please Visit Accordionweb.com

Nice web pages Steve. I particularly like the entry on accordion injuries.

Re: Accordioncide or looking for a sampled accordion

Has anyone gone to youtube and done a search fot"Kontact" and "accordion"? There are a few nice examples of some good samples, enough go get a fair idea of the quality. Hi Jerry, I have not done so but in my experience there is a huge difference between making a nice set of samp...

Re: Accordioncide or looking for a sampled accordion

The big difference I see is that a piano is played using keys whilst an accordion is played using bellows. By the way, Roland V accordions are not sample players but use physical modelling. I also agree with Jim that Roland have provided great base material upon which guys like Richard Noel have add...

Re: Accordioncide or looking for a sampled accordion

I don't fancy your chances of making a 3rd party sample sound better in a performance environment. Not much help for answering your question but just an observation.
