Hi They are a kind of mute, they open by the rocker switch (in this instance) in the middle to allow a slightly brighter & louder sound to be heard than when closed. They mostly date back to c1960s, and can be seen on PSoprani, Scandalli and Parrot (and maybe others that I don't immediately reca...

You can't do it from 'Quick Reply': Click on 'Post Reply' button (bottom right).. will bring up a reply screen with 'upload attachment' tab bottom left.
If your pic doesn't load it's possibly too big - edit to a smaller size & try again.

Looks like early post war, maybe early 1950s. 2 voice starter accordion by a good name maker. The serial numbers aren't particularly useful as there has been so much rationalisation in Italian manufacturers or the last 50 years the records are lost. Scandalli parts aren't available for this age &...
