Re: Accordion Repair Course

Thanks for sharing indeed, HG.
If anyone else is interested I'd suggest an email (plg@plgmarketing.com) to them expressing your interest - if they get enough maybe another one could be sooner rather than later.

Re: Accordion Repair Course

Thank-you for sharing! Me, I'd be very interested if I was at least on the same side of the pond. Too bad they don't do something similar like this in the USA or Canada, I might be pretty easily convinced to attend such a course as I know this interests me. :) AFAIK they don't do it this side of th...

Re: Need advice again!

It's not a custom build - I've seen these come up a few times on ebay.de ... but I don't know much about them.
Does it say Made In Italy on it?

Re: New, wrinkly accordionist-to-be from the UK

Hi Connor, a warm welcome from me, too. PH Book 1 in an afternoon? Is urban myth or figure of speech - a from-scratch beginner isn't going to get through PH book 1 in a month.. never mind an afternoon.. so now you should feel better... Are you intending to self teach even with all those good players...

Re: Genuine Hand Made Reeds - A to Z

I have a more pressing problem with a damaged concertina brass reed which is one of many on a reed 'comb'. I would prefer to use purpose made rivets for all of these but have not located a source yet. Any experiences with brass reeds, as well as steel ones, and their repair would be welcome. That e...

Re: Made in Taiwan.

I live in Asia and this is what we know all these years. I can’t provide any official reference since most reports were long ago and in Chinese. Nothing secret, but you will not find any official statement that KHS ‘own’ Hohner. They are ‘strategic partner’ according to KHS website. Hohner lost the...

Re: Teaching&Learning experience shearing (from Romania)

Hi Gabriel Thanks for posting. Twice per week is a lot? Most people only do weekly or even less; maybe it's only at the start? Did you say you are starting from complete beginner - no instrument experience? Never read music? Has he set a piece for you to try? What tune are you starting on? Don't be ...
