Re: Newfoundland - Who Would Have Thought It?

Unfortunately, they refused my application for Mr. February. I think they were looking for people playing concertinas... something about not needing accordionists with big equipment.

Re: Newfoundland - Who Would Have Thought It?

Not only can we do it in the buff, but at the same time, we can do it in -30C temperatures while riding our dog sleds to work! (Brings new meaning to the word "shrinkage... lmao!) I had to do some digging to get my car out of the snow at the local car parking lot today... we had a little snow. ...

Re: Accordion Repair Course

Thank-you for sharing!
Me, I'd be very interested if I was at least on the same side of the pond. Too bad they don't do something similar like this in the USA or Canada, I might be pretty easily convinced to attend such a course as I know this interests me. :)

Re: Roland FR-3s and uneven bellow operation

I've tried to contact the Roland support and service partner in Norway, but none of them are getting back to me. Hi Troy, I too am a V-accordion owner (FR-8x), but unfortunately I don't have any help for you. There are a couple of suggestions that might help you, however. First, you might want to j...

Re: Canine Capers Massacre Music Stand!

I am a big fan of Hamilton stands. THIS is the one that I have had since the early 70's. It's been all across Canada and the US with me back in the day and never failed me. I could drop it off a cliff and it would be just fine. It's heavy and sturdy and doesn't have folding legs, making the weakest ...

Re: Sound Expantion

I suspect that the people who made the accordion did not read the manual first, so the two don't always seem to harmonise :-) I'll have to agree with you, their documentation skills are not the best, however a lot of people are saying that the documentation for the 4X is a lot better. I'm also conf...

Re: Made in Taiwan.

They do have it, but just like all the other products you mention, that is no guarantee of any accuracy or truth. :)

Re: Sound Expantion

I've also tried to download the Dallape set from the Roland web page. Loaded onto a USB stick, and totally ignored by the Roland. If anyone can advise me on the procedure, I'd be very grateful. Phillip, did you read and follow the instructions of the included PDF file? From page 11 of the PDF file:...

Re: Product enquiry

Pictures are always good. BTW, Hohner/Scandalli... not likely. Hohner is a German brand, Scadalli is Italian. One or the other... or it's likely bogus. :)
