Re: Strange mic attachment cord?

That one might not fit... Cassotto and all, it's pretty tight in there. I'm still looking around for the OEM for a bit more before looking at getting something just like your ssuggestion except a 1/8th" plug size that's sealed off.

Thank-you for your help. :)

Re: From Europe: New sounds for the FR8X

I have an email into Roland Support for the Dallape, Orchestral and Alpine expansion sets. Nothing back yet. Its surprising that they have the products listed but no clear way to have customers purchase them. The new sounds, it is understandable as to why Roland France has them and is marketing the...

Re: Is midi system reusable?

I am no expert, but I am willing to bet that they are reusable, as long as the traits of the new location are at least the same (same number of keys and bass buttons), and nothing is broken. It also will likely depend a lot on the age type and condition of the current setup. But, if you are not usin...

Re: Strange mic attachment cord?

I'd consider doing something like this if there is room and if I could not find that original connector/cable as a last ditch solution.

Re: Strange mic attachment cord?

As I recall it, I never had issues using these mids of mics, they always sounded super crisp and clear when used on the Roland JC-160. Indeed, after doing a little research, the general consensus is that dynamic mics are better than condenser mics because they are more rugged, can handle higher SPL ...

Re: From Europe: New sounds for the FR8X

For players of these instruments this is a nice development. However, as I understand it, can one not create their own set and save it to a USB stick to load back later if I wished? If I was an owner of this accordion, over time, I would develop a lot of my own changes and sounds. Sounds like a fun ...

Re: Accordions Rising - new documentary film

Unless you go to one of their showings at a festival, it is unlikely that anyone is going to see this until 2017. That from the film proprietor on their facebook page. Just means that most of us are going to need to be very patient.

Re: Great Video: New York's Last Accordion Repairman

The ones that I know of are accordionscanada.com in Toronto (this is likely the one you were referring to?) and andersonsaccordions in Burlington. If you google accordion repair for Ontario it comes up with as many as half a dozen places. Going to places like Liberty Bellows I would believe is more ...

Re: Dallape and Alpine Expansions - Can you buy these?

Wow, weird that they have it in France, but not in locations like Roland Canada or USA.

If it is not too indiscreet to ask, what price did they quote you?

Re: Strange mic attachment cord?

To make a cord is not difficult at all (I'm a competent at soldering), but this plug just is hard to find. I had a guy who works in an electronic store email me. He said that if I brought him the plug he might be able to help me find the other end. This would not be very difficult to do, I suppose. ...
