Re: Product enquiry

Pictures are always good. BTW, Hohner/Scandalli... not likely. Hohner is a German brand, Scadalli is Italian. One or the other... or it's likely bogus. :)

Re: Why so long to get a Roland?

I saw several UK dealers selling them for $1900 USD but I have no clue if they're reputable. Post the names here! The majority of our group is in the UK and could perhaps help steer you either to a preferred dealer or perhaps steer you away from others. That and a little time researching may help y...

Re: Accordion Celluloid Repair

The hardest part is going to be to match the colour, no matter what method used.

... likely for more $ than a 3X, however, there is a WORLD of difference in features between the two. If that is something that you would like, it might be worth it. If not... waiting is always an option.

Re: Made in Taiwan.

However,I suspect Jerry's subtle point is if you want it to be taken seriously when reporting 'news' like this, provide a link: People who maybe are interested want to see the full story, not someone's interpretation of it... as we know from history, there is room for error :) Oh no, please don't m...

Re: Zero Sette B18 Electronic

My Elka had a fun "Lowrey Organ" sound with the 2-speed rotary, it was something that I used pretty often. The FR-8X can do something quite similar:

Re: Resale value of a 1973 Gola

I would also have considered making an offer on the 459 I repaired after its owner died, but I was too far already in switching from PA to CBA to go back to a PA. I would never consider a 41 key Gola though. No, me neither, I would feel as if I was playing on 1/2 an instrument or an ordinary accord...

Re: Made in Taiwan.

Where did this information about Hohner being 75% Asian owned come from, Stephen?

Re: Why so long to get a Roland?

Really weird. The shop I bought mine from in The Netherlands got one for me to try in one week. I tried it and bought it and never looked back. Must be something "odd" with your importer. I had earlier suggested that he try at another retailer, but there are ties of friendship and therefo...

Re: Resale value of a 1973 Gola

If it was the 459 or 454, I would have seriously considered it for myself. 10 months ago, I was seconds away from placing an order at Hohner for a new Gola, but life decided that it was not time. :|
