I got my Hohner Amati (three-row CBA) from a Swiss auction site - try http://www.ricardo.ch

HOHNER LUCIA is 2 reeds, 37 treble buttons, 48 bass (4x12).
Size = 270mm x 150mm x 290mm.
Weight = 4 kgs.
Made in the 1930's.

And yes, it's a nice little accordion, but almost impossible to find.

Thanks Anyanka, yes I still remember when you bought your AMATI. In fact I have an account at ricardo.ch and am checking weekly.

But I think the LUCIA (with 37 treble buttons) is smaller and lighter than the AMATI, although I have no size and weight info for the AMATI. With 34 treble buttons the are several options, new ones also but most are with 60 bass.

Then there is also the HOHNER CONCERTO 342K also with 34 treble buttons 3 row and with 40 bass (5x8) and only 4,5 kgs. And then the HOHNER PICCOLO 5 row 62 treble (37 notes) 60 bass but weight is 6 kgs.

Size and weight are important to me. To travel with ease, other options are also the LOFFET PETIT CHROMA or the PIGINI SIMBA (only 20 treble and single voice). And Frans van der Aa is now making a 3 row 34 treble buttons 18 bass CBA 2 voice only 3,5 kgs and size 260 mm x 155 mm (look here = http://www.accordionmaker.com/nieuws/?t ... muziek=aan). None of these are cheap. ;)

I have a Pigini Peter Pan which I have found is a perfect size for travel, but it is only a single reed, although it does have the converter which I require.

Am I right in thinking that the right hand rows run from counter bass to minor chords (unless changed)?

So do I think, but never actually saw one, so can't confirm.

I think I'd rather loose the counterbass row and have it run down to 7th's instead.
