... likely for more $ than a 3X, however, there is a WORLD of difference in features between the two. If that is something that you would like, it might be worth it. If not... waiting is always an option.

I spent all day thinking the same thing. If I can get a 3xb for $2999 I'm thinking I should do it.

I heard back from several more dealers today. Roland just isn't shipping 1x's to the US, even if they haven't officially discontinued them.

I saw several UK dealers selling them for $1900 USD but I have no clue if they're reputable.

Post the names here! The majority of our group is in the UK and could perhaps help steer you either to a preferred dealer or perhaps steer you away from others. That and a little time researching may help you find your accordion faster. It certainly could not cost $1000US to ship and land an accordion here from the UK, could it?

That is not good. My experience was different. I bought mine from guitarguitar Glasgow UK. Called in on Monday 27th Feb, had a choice of 'red-now" or "black-later" Chose the black, and collected it the following Saturday. The guys there were brilliant.

Yes ! I bought my Excelsior in the Sunningdale branch years ago - very nice, helpful folk. Someone on here knows the people who own the business, I believe.

Isn't their's the shop that has been burgled several times recently ?

Their price for the 3x is less than that of a 1x here!

Peopke like Dale Mathis and Richard Noel have had their 4X now for several months, long enough to put out a lot of videos, and that means a fair amount of experimentation and playing time. There are also several people in the Yahoo Roland forums that have theirs already too.

Where did you order yours from? I heard that Roxy's had a couple dozen in stock about a month ago.

They're out there. :)
