I honestly believe that for most people coming to the accordion past their mid 20's, and who want to play in a non classical way, a practical path is to learn to use Lead Sheets, get good ones, and pay for them if necessary. Also learn to play and study LH rhythms on their own, get a bit of basic music theory and a few simple rules of thumb. That may help to put the tricks into place for future PBE.
