Accordion exercices

Post by Stephen » Fri Dec 02, 2016 11:55 am

It's fun to play the accordion in standing position, this player is so enthusiastic and filled with joy.
This is how accordion rehearsel and exercise should feel like :-)

He is young with a lot of energy and stamina but that accordion is small and has to be lightweight with only 2 rows on the keyboard and a few bass .

I once had a similar 2 row garmoshka, the weight was 7 kilogram. Russian diatonic garmoshkas are 5,5 kg to 7,5 kg. They look lightweight, but usually are a a few pounds heavier than one would guess. They are pretty solid (many are played outdoors during winter in local festivities and singalong street playing and dancing)

My 2 voice 60 bass CBA is 5,8 kilogram, and has more notes and more basses.

I like to alternate between exercising/playing the accordion sitting down, and in stand up position.
His enthusiasm makes me wanna jump up and start dancing with my accordion. I love his show and ecstatic playing style.
