More "sheet" music - German this time

More "sheet" music - German this time

Postby maugein96 » Sun Dec 18, 2016 7:31 pm

Just when I thought our Italian friend with the linen over his keyboard was unique, I find this guy using a sheet over his PA keyboard and a blindfold.

Having tried a dish towel over one of my CBA keyboards I can assure you that it makes it no more difficult to play than without it. I've never played with a blindfold, but I'm not going to try. Friend of mine did that, stepped on one of his kid's rollerskates, and put his head through a glass display cabinet!

Player believed to be German somewhere in California at a Bierfest.

I still do not see a purpose to the sheet other than stopping people from looking at the keys. You don't need a sheet for that. You need discipline, nothing else. I never look at the keyboard. On every accordion I have ever used the keys never moved up or down, so I could easily learn where which key is located. So can everyone else. It just take practice.

I think on this occasion he was just "showing off", trying to convince his audience that he was clever, when people like ourselves know different!

You have to love the drape over the keyboard... and then a blindfold, as if that really was something hard... LMAO.

"For my next trick, I will now play that same tune a 16th time... but this time with my feet!" << Now at least THAT would impress me... lol

I guess the bottom line is - 'Who are we playing the tunes for?'
Keep it fun.
