Anybody connected to the Acordeonisima site?

Postby AccordionUprising » Sun Apr 09, 2017 3:43 pm

Long-shot: Does anyone have contact with the now defunct Acordeonisima.com website? I think they were out of Chile? (In Spanish)

They had remarkable bios of accordionists and I'd like to know where they got their information. Sadly, the Internet Archives only preserved their front-page index and doesn't have all the biographies.

If anyone knows where I can contact the producer from this site I would be grateful.

I'm particularly interested in the material on jazz accordionist Alice Hall which I haven't seen anywhere else. Where did they get it?
(I saved a copy a few years ago, but it's gone now.)

Thanks much, Bruce

Hello Bruce,

I don't know if any of this will help, but here goes.

acordeonisima.com

http://www.acordionisima.com/

jazzaccordionmasters.blogspot.com

www.last.fm/music/Alice Hall

I have found quite a bit of Alice Hall music on YouTube, and the BlogSpot looks promising.

Let me know how you get on.

Stephen.

FURTHER TO THE ABOVE:

The jazzaccordionmasters BlogSpot carries a biography of Alice Hall, plus links to some of her music. It also carries biographies for many Jazz Accordionists, again with links to their music.

I hope I have been of some little assistance.

Thanks Stephen,

I think the http://jazzaccordionmasters.blogspot.ca site contains the Alice Hall bio I posted on youtube along with her only (I'm pretty sure) commercial record from 1949. Tragic that she didn't make more studio recordings.

I'd still like to contact the Acordeonisima.com site, but it seems to be defunct. They had biographical details on Hall that I haven't seen anywhere else. I'd love to know where they got them.

Hi Bruce,

I wish you every success with your quest, and hope that you will report on any progress you make.

I would try to assist you, but I am currently suffering from a severe case of man 'flu. This miserable condition is made much worse by daily interruptions of my peace and quiet.

Kind Regards,

Stephen.
