I used to be better than I am now - at playing from sheet music - but I decided I needed to learn to play by ear and something small because of the practicalities of practising. Anyway those are the excuses, I have more than I need: Bugari dry tuned 4 voice freebass convertor CBA, Paolo Soprani CBA 5 voice CBA (underrated box in my opinion, was going to sell it but I enjoyed playing Da Slockit Light on it so much), Roland (early model - silent practice and also making church organ type sounds which didn't go down well on the forum), Borsini bass CBA, cheap chinese one row four stop melodeon with the basses the wrong way round (root where the chord should be), Giustozzi organetto (which you have heard all about), La Vera BCCsharp (strangely satisfying to play). If I had to pick one... I'd pick three.

I recall an organ-alike thing that I liked, too.

Anyway, thank you (unless we are at cross purposes: it was this (I shouldn't have mentioned it: I was talking about this http://soundcloud.com/i-k-3/minuet-in-g ... i-makkonen , which I doubt will win any sceptics over to the Roland) but to get back to the topic, I have more than is reasonable, all for reasons that seemed like a good reason at the time... the only one that anyone asks me to play is the bass! If I had to pick one, I would pick the Bugari, the bass and the organetto and shed some tears for the rest and for not being able to play Scottish music any more. I'm happy cos I played the Bugari out last night, I turned up at the social club and hardly anybody was there so I ended up playing Metsakukkia and some balkan stuff, not well, but not offensively either. The Bugari is the size of a medium wardrobe but it is easier to play than you would think due to balance, big bellows, responsiveness etc. (and honestly, you can put in rhythm without changing bellows direction, honest...)
