Did it really take you 75 attempts to get it on video? If so congratulations again for the perseverance.
The way I interpreted it, the 75 started from the first cold read, which I reckon is a fairly short span to play a tune of this nature with style.

Nicely played, Eman! That's a great tune and you've performed it well. Thanks for sharing.

The little I know Ed, it would not surprise me. If we were the ones choosing, probably the first or second try would have been good enough, but Ed tries hard to deliver the best he can with each piece he publishes for us. :)

To answer the question: I have been playing this tune for about a year, so from cold read to now, I really have no count, but I would think it would be in the low hundreds or so. First, I heard the tune played; felt I liked it enough, downloaded the music, site read the sheet. After practicing the tune the way it was written, I decided it needed some kind of intro other than what was written. Although my intro is nothing particularly special, I feel it does bring you into the tune easily. I have a repertoire of tunes that I practice daily and Indifference is in the bunch. I cannot honestly say how many times I have played it. After I decided I wanted it on you tube, it would be part of weekly recording session during which time I would "attempt" a reasonably perfect try, sometimes 4-5 times on any given day. There would always be some part of it, where I didn't like the delivery; maybe there was an unintended bellows break, maybe a small mistake that bothered me, any number of little annoying things that would prevent me from using the video.
I remember one day, I had one of those really good days; you know where you just don't make any mistakes and did 3-4 tunes that I felt were publishable; only to find out I hadn't plugged the amp into the camcorder ! Aargh !

I think you can all relate to any or all of these things, as we a musicians are group that have many similarities; things that set us apart from the masses.

Keep playing both ends against the middle

Congratulations, it's very pleasant to listen to ! Joseph Colombo was a great composer who gave us beautiful accordion classics. My father used to play them in Paris during the fifties and the sixties, and he even recorded the Riva Bella waltz for the Olympic label in 1957. That was probably the recording he was the most proud of!

I keep coming back to hear this, and I really hope, Ed, that you are nearly up to releasing another video. Love the quality of your recording, your performance, and your accordion.
