Re: Waiting for an OS Update for the FR4x

I checked out 171-(A)BLK Vln just now. My, it is an awful sound, isn't it? You are right that the touch setting is grayed out. I understand it is the violin which doesn't need touch, but other guitar-like instruments do no have touch, either as you mentioned. Some others in the Balkan expansion do, ...

Re: Waiting for an OS Update for the FR4x

I care! I just wasn't using the treble side midi transmit on my 4x. Somewhat Satisfied with the orchestra sounds. I will let you know my results. I wonder why some of the newer bank of sounds have the touch on the editor grayed out as fixed low? Example 171-(A)BLK Vln? I would suspect that those ar...

Re: Waiting for an OS Update for the FR4x

Jerry, I pointed this out early on on other forum, too, but nobody seemed to care about it. Maybe many play the 4x just as a standalone. I'd like to agree with you that Roland will release a new OS in the end. I think one of the main reasons Roland came out with the 8x PC editor was because of all t...

Waiting for an OS Update for the FR4x

I reported an issue with FR4x before. I did more tests on two different FR4x instruments. Also, I did a test on an FR3x and FR7x. Both FR4x instruments have the same issue. When in accordion mode, the treble sends a very weak velocity level on midi out. Internally the accordion plays fine. Once agai...

Re: Bugari Evo; The Looks & the Brain

I just added another picture of the Evo to my original post. So folks, among the three which one do you like best and why? I like them all!!! The first one looks "fine" with an attitude. The second one is classy, and third one looks more traditional. I know beauty is only skin deep, but these three ...

Re: Bugari Evo; The Looks & the Brain

SNIP No one in North America sells them or could sell me one! This brings up my pet peeve about Bugari, which is that they are the world's worst marketing group that I have ever seen, and on purpose ignore us here and so, even if someone from Bugari called me and said they would sell me one, I woul...

Re: Bugari Evo; The Looks & the Brain

What is "bellows more of an acoustic"? I would not know the difference? Bellows on Roland V accordions are very stiff in comparison with acoustic accordions. Years ago, a friend bought his FR7 to my house so that we can open up the bellows. He was flying across the country with it and I suggested t...

Bugari Evo; The Looks & the Brain

These two Evo models look pretty handsome. They've got the looks and brains, so to speak. I hear how these are a few pounds lighter and smaller than their older half brother the FR8x. Also, the bellows are more like those of an acoustic accordion. Hmmmm. http://i66.tinypic.com/2mff5t1.jpg http://i63...

Re: Digital Accordions vs digital keyboards - pricing

SNIP As far as a arranger keyboard, I would never spend over 2K again. Put the money in the accordion! You will get more gigs. French, Italian and German Oktoberfest themes are top sellers. Right, you don't have to spend over 2k. The latest Roland arranger E-A7 is "only" $1,299 (I think only accord...

Re: Going wireless with the Yamaha UD-BT01

Today I received a new replacement. As expected, the UD-BT01 connected to my FR4x worked fine. It also powered the Korg Microkey 49 and made a wireless keyboard out of it, but not the Microkey 61 1st generation with a built-in USB hub, which does funny things at times. IOS devices - very little late...
