Re: bellows

Henrik, If you have achieved every bellows stroke to be even and always the same length throught your blues piece then congratulations. In "real life" this may be somewhat far from reality. My suggestion is to perhaps start with the bellows slighty out before you begin the piece. This will give some...

Re: Trying to improve sight-reading

Third step is the sentence. Some make more sense than others and you are able to anticipate: try swapping the words above. This is for the decoding part but you still have to map "rabbit" to the white animal with big ears in your mind. I think this is the step where many learning to read music have...

Re: practicing leaps in LH

Printing a number of bass layouts and having them handy is a great idea for beginners. I used it a lot and it allows you to just have a think about the arrangement at any time and "test" yourself. I used to test myself with things such as "what's the note name of the button above the F#?" so as to g...

Re: Age - Aches & pains...

Although George's observations to limit shoulder movement are sensible from experience when I had a frozen shoulder some 10 ...

Re: Greetings from France

Welcome Olivier.
Looking forward to your contribution to the forum.
Two years isn't very long for learning an instrument but it's a good sign that you still have a passion for this wonderful instrument.

Re: Do We Need all those "Bells and Whistles"?

That's an interesting subject in its own right. Is playing and singing an innate skill or something you have to develop like left and right hands playing simultaneously?

Re: Never on a Sunday

Hi Jerry.
Great performance and nice sound/video quality using your simple setup.
It's a good recipe for making such a performance video without spending the whole weekend doing it.
By the way, what foot pedal are you using to send midi messages?

Re: Playing In A Band

Good luck with your gig. Two years experience is precious little in a live environment where anything and everything can go wrong. No pressure :)
