Re: Un classico déconcertant (Paris)

Thanks for the links.
The concert looked like a great event,
The second YouTube video was quite something.
Can’t imagine walking around Paris whilst playing my accordion.
Beautifully filmed in spectacular surroundings.

Re: Old songs remastered

Thanks Jerry. A great set of recordings. I think the remastering went pretty well. Good to see your old 4 track functioning to spec. I too have a box of 4-track tapes from the 80s but having let my son use my Akai in around 2002, I have to report that it only lasted one session in the garage with hi...

As ever, music has the incredible power to heal raw emotion and to bring people together. Good luck with the weather and keep on playing. :ch

Re: Hello from Holland

Hmm... subtle difference between "in Holland" and "from Holland". I said I am from the Netherlands, but if that is to mean born in then I guess I am only "in" the Netherlands. This is all very confusing. Could one be "from Holland" but not "from the Netherlands", and "in the Netherlands" but not "f...

Looks to be in great condition and a real beauty. How did you “come across” such a machine?

Re: Hello from Holland

Hi Peter. Welcome to the forum. I am in Holland (not from Holland) and am too lazy to convert from PA to CBA. I have a B system lounging behind the sofa but only get it out occasionally to make sure it’s still working. There appeares to be plenty of B system accordions in The Netherlands so that was...

Re: Blue Moon - R. Rodgers

Great song and great version nicely played.
Indeed keep them coming Piotr.
Are your arrangements your own or are they developed from sheet music you’ve bought?

Re: Learning multiple instruments

Absolutely agree Jeff. The analogy with languages is spot on. You learn a huge amount about your “main” instrument (or language) by learning about others. Makes them all the more enjoyable as you make the links of commonality. And Donn is spot on with the levels of practice (hence) time we can or sh...
