Re: Konig & Meyer Accordion Stand or similar

It's not that it won't hold it firmly, it will. But it is very top heavy when you have a big accordion in it and the physics say it wouldn't be too difficult to knock it over, especially if there's tripping hazards like cable and mic stands etc. It's great for home use where it can be either left as...

Re: Konig & Meyer Accordion Stand or similar

I've read the OP again and it occurs to me, that I suspect even if you find a K&M stand, if you try it with a biggish (96/120) accordion I doubt you'll think it is stable enough as designed to stand unattended with audience/band members milling round. You'd need to bolt/screw the legs to floor IMO f...

Re: New Year's Wishes

Happy new year to everyone on here. It's been a much calmer & welcoming site lately... well done & thanks Knobby. And my sympathies to Hais.. I know hollow it feels. I'm hoping to find a resolution to my neck/shoulder problem so I can return to playing comfortably... but I'm off to get some sun in t...

Re: Lucia IVP felt problem?

I didn't see this until today. How is it going? Personally I wouldn't reuse the treble felt for what it's worth: Glue on the leather will cause problems sealing as the leather will probably have stiffened. 2.5mm or 3 mm will be fine for the bass pallets. I don't follow about the strip of metal comme...

Re: Accordion Gig Bags

Did we have this discussion before? The Lenz looks good in the pics - I've not seen them before... nor know anyone with one. There are a few on here that use the CNB gig bag - it is Chinese but mine (96bass) has lasted well and I know another has had theirs 8 years without problem. Wheels & back str...

Re: Happy Christmas 2017...

Yep maybe early for some but it's only 10 days now - 2 more Saturdays... & just one haircut... Off to get it done. After a relaxation of the rules for the festive season JimD & others has posted loads of Christmassy accordion Tubes here https://www.accordionists.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=12&p=53451#p53451

Kicking off the festive season theme.. we'll allow repeats from before today, until Dec 25th inclusive, as long as they qualify for the Christmas theme. And any non-themed legal post may either be ignored to match with the last themed post to make it easier to stay Christmassy, or followed in the u...

Re: Short keyboard, fullsize keys - possible?

Well it arrived eventually. I took it out of the box, plugged it in to my Macbook, started Garageband and off I went playing notes with it - absolutely no setting up needed for the Macbook or Garageband to recognise it. As for the keys, I don´t find them too bad. I little plasticy & springy perhaps...

Re: Possibly the biggest public accordion auction this decade, this week!

Yep _ looked at the catalogue and initially I was pleased that nothing very special was in there... 'cos we (I for sure) couldn't buy from Aus without substantial transport risk & cost... so would need an outanout bargain to even consider it. The other observation was the guides would look high in a...

Re: Short keyboard, fullsize keys - possible?

Fullsize for piano or accordion? The , the keys are normal PA size and you can either play it "piano wise" or vertically in accordion position. It has a headphone socket. About £35. As you'd guess, at that price it's a basic electronic keyboard, no midi or digital output. Hi Tom I may be interested i...

Re: Short keyboard, fullsize keys - possible?

You got in just before I suggested it... Has it arrived yet? Please let us know how you set it up... and how you find it. I should've arrived on Friday, but an Amazon cockup means it should now arrive Monday or Tuesday. I plan to connect it to Garageband on my Mac if possible. I'll let you know how...
