The deals are out there, I am the 3rd or 4th person I know that picked up a V-accordion for a very good deal. I think most know that I just picked up a 2 month old, near new 8x with maybe 20 hours of total use for $3500Cdn including $300 Roland headphones and a compact music stand (which I am using far more than I ever thought I would... lol).
The deals are out there, all you have to do is not ask someone to do the work for you, but search for those deals yourself. They are out there. How badly you want one will determine two things... how hard you work to save up money for it and how much time you invest in looking. No one is going to want to trade an 8X for a couple of older accordions and a 20 year old arranger or will run up to you out of the blue and offer you the accordion of your dreams... unless you want to pay full price or more for a new one, so do some leg work on a regular basis, work hard and put money aside for that accordion that you "must have", and it will happen.
