I would, death metal accordion is not to my taste... most of the time :D

here is a little something I've been working on this week with a bass (okay I can't play bass properly, and it's electric) but anyway you get the idea..

I like that a LOT - the bass is just right, underpinning the melody without intruding.

Which reminds me that electric guitar can also work surprisingly well with accordion, as I found out from a couple of tracks on Johannes Mayr's rather excellent 'Blue Bellow' CD.

Well, the last 20 seconds or so appear to be death metal (am I the only one noticing that?). Anyway, when working with "can't play bass properly, and it's electric", that's close to where a digital accordion becomes a natural choice: many instruments, one controller. One controller to rule them all, one for to find them, one for to bring them all and in the music bind them, in the land of Roland where the keyboards lie.

That sounded more like dubstep to me.

Well, I admit that "death metal" was being facetious. But pinpointing the correct facet of techno-related music would have been completely out of my depth. I just read the Wikipedia entry about "dubstep" and it went completely over my head. The auditory "rhythm" example was quite amusing I'll readily admit. I'd just be somewhat at a loss about what to add on top of it.

Man, I'm old.

Yes. Unless it's a really good vocalist.
I know it sounds selfish, but I want to have (at least) equal time.
