Larry Roberts 50s/60s show

Post by Keymn » Mon Jun 11, 2018 7:40 am

Rock’n’Roll of the 50’s with Larry Roberts
June 12 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Larry will be performing rock’n’roll hits of the 50’s! DooWop, Twist, and Rockabilly! Performances of these great songs live on the Korg PA3x arranger keyboard; along with the music there will be vocals representing artists of that era. An education on how the music of the past influenced artists of today! Larry is a newcomer to the Phoenix Valley. He started his music career in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of eight. He is a multi-instrumentalist; accordion, piano, keyboard, guitars, and vocals and a band leader and solo artist. A Nashville recording artist in the 70’s, performing with the top studio musicians Larry became well-traveled in the US with twenty years in South Florida.

Cave Creek looks dead exotic, at least from this side of the pond anyway. I like the idea of a hike in the desert, I'm sure some nature study/bird watching would be fascinating.

The Cave Creek referenced wouldn't provide much with respect to "Exotic", being just another desert town. The "real" Cave Creek (East of Tombstone, AZ), however does. This picturesque canyon is home to the rarely seen Coppery Back Trogan, a beautiful, dark green pidgeon size bird with a glistening copper colored back and a long tail. Cave Creek is home of the only known colony in the United States. They also have a wonderful, melodic, voice
There are several other rare specie in the same canyon. Come on over and check 'em out.

Cave Creek full of bars and restaurants. A biker haven that patron the local watering holes. Of course, most of them ride Harley’s. Scenic rides.

Indeed. I was under the impresion that hais1273 was interested in doing some bird watching. NEVER ASSUME! Could just as easily be, he, being from sunny England, was referring to the fairer sex (women). We have both types of "birds" here (and Harleys, too).

I asked the audience. Anyone from Cave Creek? Not one hand...
