Air duster is ok, miniature vacuum cleaner attachments for outsides is poss better, see ebay. Normal vacuum crevice attachment for bellows folds may do. Lightly damped soft cloth on outsides only, DO NOT GET ANYTHING WET - ensure bellows even tho' they appear dry, is allowed to fully air dry before reassembly/playing.

If going under the bonnet be ultra careful not to catch reeds/reed valves or disturb pallets.

When the hard work is done, dry soft cloth with Pledge furniture polish - spray on the cloth, not on the instrument - on exterior.

NO OIL, NO WATER (other than the LIGHTLY damped cloth). Did I say NO OIL?

Marcin,

As Soulsaver says, a bit of furniture polish on a soft cloth brings up the case very nicely, but do not apply it directly from aerosol to box. This is something I only do occasionally, as they don't really get dirty when used a lot. (well, mine don't seem to)

As I said before, please keep us informed of your progress.

Kind Regards,

Stephen.

Opened it up and it looks great (at least to my uneducated eye lol)

And do you recommend the regular yellow can pledge?

Marcin,

I think we have some Pledge somewhere, though I am currently using a supermarket "own brand". To be perfectly honest, I don't really think that the brand matters all that much, as the trick is to use it sparingly.

Your post has served to remind me to clean my own instruments, as I can't actually remember when I last did it.

Take Care,

Stephen.
