Reels on the CBA

Nice set of Scottish reels played on the C-system chromatic button accordion.
Excellent use of the right hand thumb and great technique, good tempo and rhythm, he manages to play in the folk style.
One of the better CBA videos with traditional music.

Could be played a little slower to make it more danceable.

There are quite a number of Scottish players of the continental including Jimmy Shand Junior who can be seen for free on the you tube vids of the whole of the DVD 'dancing with the shands''. Each 'track' of the DVD has been done as a separate you tune thing. The band is Jimmy Juniors plus Ssir Jimmy Shand himself.

What a fingering technique this young man has on his c-system CBA !
He plays all genres on this CBA, an example to young western accordion students it's possible.

He had the bottle and determination to go to St Petersburg and study with Oleg Sharov. He was a good player all along of course but if you listen to his older and newer videos you can see how much progress he made. Talent plus sheer hard work: I admire him for it.
