It doesn’t make normal sense that a USB pen drive won’t work with your Roland. I have tried all sorts in mine and it works fine. Can you save anything via usb? If not I fear there is an issue with your accordion.

I have used drives from 512mb to 128gb successfully. The only constraint is that it jhas to be formatted FAT32.

Short of that I have not hit any restrictions or issues.

Very nice playing and a very jolly piece of music.
You managed a bellows shake with the Roland which is not so easy unless you make the bellows sensitivity high (which it looks as if you have done).

Good luck with the pen drive.

Definitely, I hope this pen drive works for you.

About the bellows shake... I was at a Cory Pesaturo workshop a couple of weeks ago, and saw it up close and personal that indeed one can bellows-shake a V-accordion, though to be honest, I've never been much of a bellows shaker. I tried it and it does work, the trick is to not have the sensitivity set to high, at least on an 8X and apparently a 7X as well.

Interesting Jerry.
I’ve always intuitively thought it was an issue of bellows sensitivity.
I’ll try a low sensitivity and see if I get a more accurate bellows shake.
To be honest, I’m not much good at it with my acoustics so I’m not too hopeful 😉

hello,
thats standard bellow sensivity, I just turned on the accordion and played :) I think it's a bit harder than accoustic accordion but not so much. When bellow shake is longer i try to set this sensivity, but on this song not really

but it works (pen drive)

i try to learn play me with me and record that - today Belle from musical Notre-Dame de Paris. That is my first time when i play solo 2 voices and montage that.. Next time will be better - i think 2 audio-video track on one new video, and better synchronization audio with video. But in this moment I'm happy with myself.

Jerry - i think it sounds better than earlier (last 2 videos), isn't it?

Very nice - thak you AA. I love the music from Notre Dame de Paris - it reminds me of when we first came to live in France. It was being played everywhere.

It sounds really nice, a huge improvement over your first one. You have come a long way in a short time... but just a comment about sounds and videos.

One of the most important things to watch for is that especially when recording the fingers so close, that the music matches the finger movement. In several places we see the harmony accordion playing and no finger movement, but more distracting is that when the melody is playing and the fingers are not in time with the music or not moving at all. Another is when there is a register change in the music that does not match your hitting the master button, any register or chin switches.

Now in to the world of nit picking the small stuff... videos are all about lighting. If the light is low, the camera tries to raise sensitivity, and this makes the video look a little grainy. The light is not low in your video, but your direction places you outside the best lit area in the room and your camera is on the edge of being slightly underexposed and a touch grainy.

Good job on the multitrack recording. :)

Jerry, I like reading your posts, cause I learn new things always :)
maybe in the future with a better camera will be better video quality. Now, a better sound is more important to me

Awesome! What a great idea, and a perfect example where the idea and way it was implemented overcomes any deficiencies, for example, the different white balances and sharpness between the 2 videos is overcome by the quality of the 2 musicians and what I am hearing. :)

Great job gentlemen!
